Dr Hosam Eldeen Elsadig Gasmalla is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anatomy and Imaging at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick, UK. With 18 years of experience teaching clinical anatomy, his expertise spans undergraduate and postgraduate education across Sudan, Rwanda, Türkiye, and the UK.
He has a background as a medical doctor. Transitioning to teaching, he holds dual qualifications: a PhD in anatomy and a master's degree in medical education. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators.
His research interests focus on anatomy education, clinical anatomy (particularly neuroanatomy), and medical education, emphasising student assessment. He is the editor-in-chief of “Research in Anatomy: A Comprehensive Guide in Anatomical Sciences and Education”, a book by Elsevier.
He joined BACA in 2022, and he is overseeing BACA’s online presence.
