Professor Neil Ashwood is based at the Research Institute at Wolverhampton University and as an Upper Limb Surgeon at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. He is on the research committee of the Orthopaedic Trauma Society and has been a consultant for 20 years.
He has published extensively on surgical case reports with an anatomical twist to the orthopaedic complications of disease and their impact on the body from leprosy and tuberculosis.
He is a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Aston University. Neil has been Associate Medical Director and Surgical Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) .He is an ATLS instructor for the RCS.
