All applicants must be nominated by a current member of BACA. Please contact your regional BACA ambassadorwho will be able to provide you with a nomination if a direct nomination is not possible. If that was not possible, applicants must provide a letter from a senior colleague who knows them in a professional capacity and can recommend them to the association.
Student applicants must also provide in addition to the above, annual proof of student status e.g. letter from supervisor on official letterhead.
Membership will commence on receipt of a completed application form and payment, and will be ratified at the first meeting of the BACA Council after application. Acceptance of membership is always at the discretion of the BACA Council.
By making an application to join BACA, new members, if accepted as members, agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the Association (copies of which are available on the BACA website or available in print on request).
Membership details are required to be held by the Association in accordance with company law, and, by signing the form, members agree to their details being held by the Association, in paper and electronic format. Member’s details are not shared with any third party organisations. Data will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1984.
Annual subscriptions are due on October 1st each year, which covers journal subscription for one calendar year (Jan-Jan). BACA is unable to offer partial refunds if a member wishes to leave the association mid-way through the membership year. The membership will be terminated at the end of the relevant calendar year.
Members should ensure their details are kept up to date, such as their mailing and email address, so that the publisher of the journal, ‘Clinical Anatomy’ can be informed of any changes.
